A Letter to those who feel Not Good Enough

My dear love,

I understand. I know how much you’ve suffered. The pain you’ve held close.

I want you to know something.

First, you are precious. You are a miracle. There has never been someone like you and there will never be another you.

Your gifts are yours alone.

From the moment you were created, you’ve been a participant in the playing out of the universe.

The world needs you. You have so much beautiful light within you to share with the world.

Your experience of inadequacy is painful, but only an illusion given to you by our culture.

No matter how many times you think you’ve failed, you have not.

There is no such thing as a failure. There are just lessons to be learned.

Look inside.

Your soul is whispering to you. It’s waiting for you. Patiently. Knowingly. Lovingly.

It has a message for you.

You are enough.

Completely.

Truly.

Infinitely.

There is nothing that you can do to be less worthy. Your worth is inherent to your being, not earned through your doing.

You need not change a single thing about yourself to be enough. You are exactly who you are supposed to be.

You get to live life on your terms.

Everything is going to be ok.

See your pain like a little baby, all swaddled up and adorable in your arms. Comfort it.

Speak to your pain like a mother would speak to her daughter, “I see you. I know it’s been hard. It’s all going to be ok. We’re going to get through this together.”

You are never alone.

I love you,

Annie
